Sports programme for children aged 2.5–4 years

A child’s first introduction to group sport, with a parent present. Sessions focus on developing fundamental movement skills while gently building independence.

Development of 10 fundamental movement skills

Strong emphasis on play, fun and positive experiences

Led by a qualified, trained coach

Game plans with motivational stickers

Joint sessions for parents and children aged 2.5–4 years, designed to create positive emotional experiences around a child’s first organised physical activities.

Sessions are built around a varied mix of short, simple movement games that change frequently and use a range of equipment to keep children engaged and having fun. The session content has been developed in collaboration with university experts in physical education and sport, helping children gradually master 10 fundamental movement skills while gently building confidence and independence.

To enhance playfulness and motivation, each course includes our much-loved mascot, Max the Monkey, along with game plans where children collect motivational stickers as they progress.

Our approach

Gymnathlon is a multi-sport programme designed to support children’s all-round physical development. Through fun, play-based and carefully structured sessions, we help children build age-appropriate skills while developing a genuine love of movement.
