Frequently Asked Questions

Unfortunately, no. Children must meet the minimum age requirement on the course start date and must also not exceed the maximum age limit for that course. However, if places are available, you can enrol your child at any point during the year once they reach the required age. If the age requirements are not met, or if incorrect registration details are provided, we may need to cancel the child’s participation. These age limits are based on our experience and are in place to ensure the best possible experience and development for all children. Thank you for your understanding.

Unfortunately, it’s not possible to reserve a place in advance. Registration is only available once the official registration period opens.

Due to limited capacity, children can only take part in sessions after completing the online registration and payment. However, the first session works as a trial. If you decide not to continue for any reason after the first session, we offer a full refund. Parents are also welcome to attend the first session, so you can see how the programme works and how your child responds before committing.

The course price depends on the programme and the time of enrolment. If you join after the course has already started, the price is reduced proportionally based on the number of remaining sessions. You can enrol at any point during the year, subject to availability. All prices listed below are for one semester (10 sessions).

  • Baby (2.5–4 years) – £130.00
  • Junior (4–6 years) – £120.00
  • SportMix (6–9 years) – £120.00
  • Active (8–11 years) – £120.00

To ensure accurate accounting, payments must be made through our online payment gateway. Unfortunately, we’re unable to accept payments by bank transfer. If you’re experiencing difficulties with the payment gateway, we recommend trying one of the following:

  • - Use a different web browser,
  • Try another device (computer, tablet or mobile phone),
  • Use a different payment card.

These steps usually resolve most payment issues.

First, please check your email inbox, including your spam or junk folders, as our messages can occasionally end up there. If you still can’t find the confirmation, please contact us at info@gymnathlon.co.uk and we’ll be happy to resend it.

If you decide not to continue, you’re entitled to a 100% refund of the course fee provided that your cancellation request is submitted within three days after the first session following enrolment. If the request is made later, the cancellation will be handled in line with our standard cancellation policy.

To cancel your child’s participation, please complete the cancellation form at www.gymnathlon.co.uk/request. If you meet the conditions for a refund, the refunded amount will be returned to the same account used for payment. The refund amount is calculated based on the number of sessions that have already taken place since your child was enrolled, regardless of whether your child attended those sessions.

We don’t offer financial compensation for absences caused by common short-term illnesses, such as colds, viruses or sore throats. However, for longer-term absences due to more serious reasons (such as illness, injury or surgery), we review each case individually. In these situations, compensation may be possible. If this applies to you, please contact us at info@gymnathlon.co.uk with details of your request, and we’ll be happy to look into it.

Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer make-up sessions for missed classes due to organisational reasons.

Yes, this is possible if there is available capacity in your preferred course. If you’d like to make a change (for example, due to a different location or time), please contact our customer service team, who will be happy to help.

All Gymnathlon courses include 30 sessions, delivered across three school terms, with 10 sessions per term. Sessions follow the local school calendar. Training does not take place during school holidays, bank holidays or school closure days. If a session is cancelled for this reason, the course schedule is adjusted to ensure the full number of sessions is delivered. Courses usually start in September and run throughout the school year, typically finishing in June, depending on local school holidays and term dates.

Each Gymnathlon course is divided into three school terms, with 10 sessions per term. The terms run continuously, following the local school calendar. The start of each term depends on when the previous term’s sessions are completed. Term lengths may vary slightly due to school holidays, bank holidays or school closure days, when sessions do not take place. In these cases, the schedule is adjusted to ensure the full number of sessions is delivered before the next term begins.

No special clothing or equipment is required. Children should wear comfortable sportswear, suitable indoor sports shoes, and bring a water bottle.

To help children stay focused and independent, parents are not usually present during sessions. Exceptions apply:

  • Baby programme – parental participation is required,
  • First session – parents are welcome to attend, as this session acts as a trial,
  • Special circumstances – attendance may be possible by prior agreement with the coach.

If your child joins the course later in the season, attendance at the first session may depend on the rules of the school or sports venue. In this case, please check with your coach in advance.

Yes — this is possible if your child attends the school where the course takes place. In these cases, the coach can collect children from after-school care before the session. After the session, children are either returned to after-school care or handed directly to parents, depending on the arrangements agreed with the school. Please note that this varies by location, so we recommend confirming the specific arrangements with your school or coach.

For organisational matters related to sessions, such as excusing your child or asking questions about the training, please contact your child’s coach directly.
